What You’ll Learn
Join us for an exciting 1-hour webinar featuring the Amoeba Sisters, in person, as they show you how to use their latest lesson content, specifically designed for high school students or anyone learning biology. Learn practical tools and creative ideas to make biology accessible and fun for your students. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with the Amoeba Sisters and revolutionize your teaching practice in this new school year.
In this webinar, The Amoeba Sisters will show their Amoeba Sisters Virtual Checks which are interactive activities that focus on their popular biology YouTube videos. They will cover best practices and strategies in using these virtual checks as end-of-the-semester review activities to reinforce your students learning, promote critical thinking and solidify a deeper understanding of concepts.
Plus we will hear from a biology teacher in Georgia having great success using these virtual checks with her students.

Our PD Webinar Speakers
Sarina Peterson | Petunia
Petunia is the creator of the comics and GIFs. She times the comics to Pinky's audio to create the videos. Petunia has no formal training in art, but she has practiced a lot. You can see the progression of her art on the milestone page. She (arguably) has a better sense of humor than her sister counterpart.

Brianna Rapini | Pinky
Pinky writes the scripts, records her voice, and designs resources to complement the videos. She has a master's in biological sciences and a public high school science teaching background. Petunia would like to add that Pinky's fun facts are, in fact, frequently not fun.

Robin Gant | Teacher - Lyndon Academy
Robin Gant is an experienced teacher with 35 years of teaching experience. She has taught in various settings ranging from public school to private school to homeschool groups; in addition, she has taught many grade levels (3rd through 12th) in three different states. She has worked with approximately 6,000+ individual students during her career. Robin first earned her BS in Education at Kennesaw State University in 1987. She has added all core subjects to her teaching certificate: a one-at-a-time task in her home state of Georgia. Embracing Science as THE all-in-one subject area, Robin is currently teaching at Lyndon Academy in Holly Springs, GA. Her current students are about as star-struck as she is to be working with the Amoeba Sisters!
