Timo Gorner Vice President

Timo Gorner is Vice President of Disney Institute. For more than three decades, Disney Institute has been helping to advise and train a variety of professionals, teams and organizations worldwide based on the business insights and best practices of Disney parks and resorts. 

Prior to assuming his current role in 2021, Timo served as chief of staff for National Geographic Partners in Washington, DC, where he managed the office of the chairman. In this position, he played a central role in integrating National Geographic into The Walt Disney Company following Disney’s historic acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019.

Before joining National Geographic Partners in 2017, which was part of Fox Entertainment Group at the time, he was based in Los Angeles and held various high-level HR and leadership development roles across several of Fox’s business, working on international assignments spanning Europe, North America and Latin America.

Born and raised in Frankfurt, Germany, he originally joined Fox Entertainment Group’s sales team in 1999 before assuming responsibility for theatrical movie marketing campaigns in Germany and Austria in 2004.
