STEAM & Disney Parks: Behind the Scenes of 'Disney Dreams that Soar Presented by AT&T'
Dive into the world of Disney's spectacular drone show and uncover the art, science, technology, engineering, and creativity that bring these captivating performances to life. Tom Vazzana and team will share exclusive insights into the design and execution of this awe-inspiring show, highlighting the intersection of artistry and cutting-edge technology. This session offers K-12 science teachers a unique opportunity to explore how to integrate similar principles of innovation and wonder into their own classrooms, inspiring students to dream big and reach for the skies.
Tom Vazzana Director Creative Development
Over the course of his 28 years with Disney, Tom has lent his creativity and collaboration to numerous parades, nighttime spectaculars, press events and holiday extravaganzas around the world. Tom’s international experience brings cultural and inclusive expertise with him after spending time as Director of Live Entertainment for the Asia region, overseeing productions in Hong Kong as well as from India to Australia.
As a Creative Director, he recently led the reopening of the beloved Hoop Dee Doo Revue followed by the return and reimagined “Fantasmic!” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a park he has an extensive history with, including the creation, choreography and direction of “Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage,” one of the longest running entertainment stage productions in Disney Parks.
Tom is dedicated to Inclusivity in all his work and innovation in shows.
Tom is from New York, where he began his career as an actor and director, working on national and international shows
Disney Dreams That Soar is his and his team’s latest new show at Walt Disney World, the first of its kind drone show at WDW.
Arnaud Feredj Show Director
Creative, visionary, and passionate, Arnaud FEREDJ is an artist with a lifetime of diverse experiences in the entertainment industry.
Initially, Arnaud graced the stages of European theaters and film sets as both a singer and actor. Seamlessly transitioning into the role of an artistic director, he brought his imaginative concepts to life, curating memorable events at the iconic Hilton hotel in Paris.
Simultaneously, Arnaud expanded his expertise in storytelling, assuming the role of a dubbing author. He skillfully translated some of the most beloved American TV series into French, captivating audiences on French television channels.
In 2017, Arnaud embarked on a new chapter, joining Disneyland Paris as a Show Director. Since then, he has developed, created, and staged numerous indoor and outdoor shows as well as Nighttime Spectaculars. Notable among his recent achievements are the acclaimed productions “Avengers: Power the Night” and “Together: A Pixar Musical Adventure,” both garnering nominations for the upcoming Brass Ring Awards.
Tony Giordano Show Director
Tony has worked for Disney Entertainment for almost 30 years starting as a Character performer back in 1995. He became an Associative Show Director in 2004 where he started working on Star Wars Weekends and then bringing unique STEAM programming to the Youth Activities spaces for Disney Cruise Line.
He became a Full Time Show Director after opening the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy where he went to on open Aulani a Disney Resort and Spa. Since then, he has had the amazing experience of opening Shanghai Disneyland Resort, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Marvel Day at Sea, and many other crowd-pleasing experiences.
This year, he was very fortunate to be on the team that brought Disney Dreams that Soar, one of his favorite projects, to Disney Springs. His next project will be opening the Disney Adventure for Disney Cruise Line, where he will be creating even more Youth and Family programming for a whole new audience in Singapore.
Allison Moran Show Writer
While working on her Master of Fine Arts degree at Savannah College of Art and Design, Allison completed two professional internships as a Show Writer with both Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Live Entertainment. In November 2014, Allison transitioned to a full-time position with the creative development team at Disney Live Entertainment as a Show Writer. Since then, Allison has collaborated on countless projects at Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and other Disney Parks and destinations around the world. Some of Allison’s favorite projects include Happily Ever After (Magic Kingdom Park), Hocus Pocus Villain SpellTacular (Magic Kingdom Park), For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along (Disney’s Hollywood Studios), Entertainment at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point (Disney Cruise Line), and Disney Dreams That Soar (Disney Springs).
Andrew Lipinski Music Producer
Andrew is a musician and songwriter. He has released 9 albums of music and played shows across the United States, sharing the stage with artists like Pitbull, The Fray, and Twenty-One Pilots.
Andrew's songs have been featured in TV shows across MTV, VH1, and NBC, Andrew has also collaborated with big music publishing companies to write songs for Kelly Clarkson, One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Fifth Harmony.
Most recently, Andrew was the music producer for the new drone show Disney Dreams That Soar, where he wrote/ composed the finale song.
