Moderator: Tammie Schrader Science Coordinator for Washington State Service District 101
Tammie is a Regional Science and Computer Science Coordinator for Northeast Washington Education Service District 101 in Washington State. Tammie was a science teacher at Cheney Middle School, in Cheney, Washington for 15 years. She is currently an adjunct science methods instructor at Whitworth University. She taught Life Science as well as Computer Programming, Gaming Programming, Robotics as well as coaching the Science Olympiad Team, Robotics Club, SeaPerch Team as well as Future Business Leaders of America at her middle school. She has her B.A. in Education as well as a B.S. in Biology. She earned her M.A. in Education and Teaching At-Risk Students from Gonzaga University. She is currently enrolled as a Ph.D. candidate and is writing her dissertation on Leadership and Game-Based Education in the Classroom.
Chris Kesler Kesler Science, LLC
Chris is a former award-winning middle school science teacher. He stepped out of the classroom in 2015 to focus on helping other teachers feel less stressed and more confident in their day-to-day teaching. Kesler Science creates engaging lessons for middle school students and is used in tens of thousands of classrooms across the country.

Clifton Roozeboom PocketLab
Dr. Clifton Roozeboom is the CEO and Co-Founder of PocketLab. He received his PhD in mechanical engineering from Stanford University. He has been the primary investigator on two National Science Foundation SBIR projects and two Department of Education Institute of Education Sciences SBIR projects. Dr. Roozeboom is a lecturer in the Stanford University mechanical engineering department. His PhD research was on wireless sensor networks for environmental monitoring applications, for which he earned grants and fellowships from Sandia National Labs, Hewlett-Packard Labs, the National Science Foundation, and the Chevron Corporation.

Eric Muller The Exploratorium
Eric Muller joined the staff of the Exploratorium, a Museum of Science, Art and Human Perception in 1995. Before going “informal,” he was a high school science and math teacher, a field geologist, a whitewater raft guide, conducted research on glaciers, worked in a high-energy physics lab and was a fellow at Tufts University’s Wright Center for Innovation in science education. He has created numerous hands-on science activities and has traveled the world doing professional development. Eric has authored books, a poster, websites, taught at several universities and was NPR’s only restaurant science commentator. Eric lives on accreted oceanic terrane, north of San Francisco.

Kathy Perkins PhET Interactive Simulations
Dr. Kathy Perkins directs PhET Interactive Simulations at University of Colorado Boulder, and is a faculty member in Physics Education Research. Her work focuses on advancing the design and classroom use of interactive simulations to increase engagement and learning in STEM, and on scaling impact with open educational resources. She has authored over 60 articles on STEM education. Under her leadership, PhET has received international recognition, including being named a 2017 WISE Awards Winner, a 2011 Tech Award Laureate, and winner of the 2014 Reimagine Education Award, and has grown to over 200 million simulation uses/year worldwide.
